Nice morning walks on the course. Not only am I following doctors orders for more exercise, I see more of the playing surfaces than I do from the seat of the cart. Plus Brandy enjoys the walks and harassing the ducks and rabbits! 😝

Let the data flow! I’m intrigued by this set up and looking forward to the information gathering process. Are there other ways to gather the info? Sure there is but technology can be a very powerful tool when gathering and tracking data from our greens and watching the trends.

Me starting my first vacation since idk when!……

Well it’s been a year and 2 days since I took over the Superintendent position at San Carlos Golf Club and I’m pleased with the improvements and the team effort to keep moving forward in making this golf course better every day. Already looking forward to future projects!

It’s that time of year again! Low humidity, high winds, and no rain in sight. Collars start burning up! Help from Plant Food and Hydration A+ to restore moisture into these areas.

To say we need rain badly is an understatement! Busting our tails with water hoses and wetting agents!

First closure of the year is complete. My crew worked their tails off to get finished in time. Everything is cleaned up and now just waiting on some much needed rain!

Maintenance Monday! V-Cut, Mow, Topdress, Roll/Drag, and a pinch of 0-0-22. My favorite day of the week!

Demo of the S Track 720 with the fraze mow attachment. Testing different depths to see how much material can be removed vs. recovery time. This could be a useful tool in removing collar dams.

Setting up the new GeoLink system for the Toro 5800 spray rig. Saving an acre of fertilizer and chemicals on greens applications alone. Definitely worth the investment.
