Day 1 completes of #ATMC23. Great day with some extraordinary people. One quote that resonates regarding my own disaster preparedness research “Everything we do before a pandemic is alarmist, everything we do after a pandemic is inadequate”.

Are they becoming more violent or are ICU staff reporting this more? The reluctance towards calling for security is strong but hopefully diminishing. Staff physically restraining patients is common, however never taught while often assumed. I’m hoping for a culture change.
