Some telling halftime numbers: UH is 1-6 on 3rd down compared to 6-9 for SHSU. Warriors penalties 8-75 compared to 1-8 for the home team. #HawaiiFB

Maybe that can be a turning point for #HawaiiFB ... successful on 4th and 2 at the SHSU 5, TD pass from Shager to Ashlock. Warriors cut the deficit to 17-10 early in third quarter.

At this point, #HawaiiFB identity is the opposite of complementary football. Offense does not capitalize on momentum generated by defense, and vice versa.

That's a good sign for #HawaiiFB ... the offense took full advantage of a turnover, and the Warriors lead the Panthers 7-0.

#HawaiiFB Schager was 10-for-10 in the first quarter, with two TD passes. Warriors scored more points in the first quarter tonight than in each of the last two games when they scored 13 in both losses.

This is also encouraging for #HawaiiFB ... although it started bad with a personal foul, only one other penalty for 5 yards in the first quarter.

Schager's falling back on his third TD pass, which goes right into the arms of Cenacle, who juggles it briefly but hangs on in the end zone for a 20-yard score. #hawaiiFB

UNI breaks the ice with a 3-yard run by Dunne, capping a 72-yard drive. #HawaiiFB leads 22-7 with 4:02 left in first half.

In case you were wondering, Colt Brennan holds the #hawaiiFB record for most consecutive completions in a game with 20 against Washington in 2007. (They were not to start the game, but part of the incredible comeback.)

Defending champion Paul Lonyangata has dropped out of the #honolulumarathon at around the 10k mark. Speaking of 10k many of the Start to Park runners are finishing now. Several Merrie Mile elite runners used it for training.

Yemane Halliesallasie of Euritrea won the #honolulumarathon today in an unofficial time of 2 hours and 11 minutes. Ruben Kerio of Kenya is second in 2:12:18.

It's 4 a.m. and I made it to Waimea to cover #TheEddie that is supposed to start in a few hours. Parking is half the battle. Now it's time to decide to drink a Red Bull or take a nap.
