Thank you to our fearless leader, Janet Steel aka Janet Stihl and Patrick Hiesl for an invigorating and educational chainsaw workshop! Just ordered a fresh pair of chaps, and feel like an absolute pro now that I understand how to deconstruct, clean and safely maintain my machine💪

I had the pleasure of talking with Society of American Foresters President Gene Kodama this fall about why #forestry is awesome. I'm all sweaty since I thought this was just going to be a field tour/show & tell about the #invasivespecies & #foresthealth pest ALB. #surprise youtube.com/watch?v=eg5cln…

The #foresthealth pest emerald ash borer (now established on the West Coast) was found in the most Dad way ever as an #invasivespecies biologist from City of Portland, OR was waiting to pick his kids up from camp when he noticed declining ash. His kid found an adult. @Bertonemyia's 📷.
