Self regulation and well being are a big part of the kindergarten program. We read books and talk a lot about mindful breathing and how we feel throughout the day. Our calming corner is also there for students and it has really made a difference for these little ones.

100th day of school activities included: small world play and oral story telling with 100 items, dividing 100 popsicle sticks into equal groups (one group divided by 10’s and the other by 2’s) and one student created a snowflake with 100 pattern blocks.

This student is preparing numbers cards beyond 100 as he is eager to continue counting the number of days we will be at school.

Today students in room 202 began working on their spring self portraits. It was interesting to listen to what knowledge they had around the different materials they chose to use. R. shared that she used seeds for her eyes and that the ears reminded her of the "COVID virus".
