Some of my 9/11 memories: Getting into the newsroom, we heard there could be trains full of casualties leaving NYC for hospitals in Rochester.

Some of my 9/11 memories: Running to the Xerox tower in downtown Rochester, as the company ordered everyone out. It was the tallest tower in town, so people thought it could be a risk. Tried to interview people as they left.

Some of my 9/11 memories: Within 24 hours, the paper dispatched me to NYC to help a fellow life newspaper with coverage. Packed a bag and jumped in my Dad's old Chevy Caprice and hit the freeway.
