Most people in Chongjing live in conditions no one in Mississippi would tolerate. Lighting up buildings with LED lights doesn't equate to wealth. It's propaganda.

A person earning $80K would take home ~$47K in Denmark. In the US, that person living in Massachusetts takes home ~$60K, including state taxes. Danes also pay 25% on most goods and services. The American middle class would never tolerate those taxes.
