Lovely EMG data from Deepan Sivakumar pre and post therapeutic pleural aspiration. Neural respiratory drive is high pre-drainage - higher than for many COPD patients. Mostly figures improves after fluid removal, but small numbers. Interesting work. #PRD2021 UK Pleural Society

ERS publications Alternate way to put it: IPC improves QoL as much as conventional chest drain/pleurodesis; as also shown in TIME-2 & AMPLE-1 with different instruments of assessment.
