An hour and a half just to get from Newtownabbey to Sailortown — crawling along the M2. North Belfast deserves better. There should be rail halts at Abbey Centre and Loughside Park, served by a Circle Line. Stop widening roads. Start widening options. #BelfastCircleLine

Concrete Quarterly 56 – featuring the Northern Bank on the Antrim Rd. Note the “simplest of infilling”. “its frank use of the structural elements in naked concrete, allied with the simplest of infilling materials - smooth grey brick, asbestos cement…” concretecentre.com/getmedia/e0f04…

Most of Lough Neagh's problems boil doing it fundamentally being a public asset and, at the same time, not being treated as such. Stormont's shallow gesture politics - and magical thinking around the lough's predicament, more widely - is serving it poorly. Me in Irish Times Opinion

Imagine if Belfast treated surface car parks - like the one on the corner of Hill Street - as opportunities instead of eyesores. They’re a blight on the city centre.

More great news for the #BlackPaths – the new Moylinn Bridge is in place and should be operational very shortly. This span is roughly the same as the BridgeTheBannfoot – how much longer do we have to wait for that crossing? northernirelandworld.com/news/people/dr…

This is your reminder that the SDLP supported the disastrous Going for Growth strategy, which ramped up agriculture pollution into the Lough. Their minister also signed off on extraction of sand dredging on the Lough's bed. Don't gaslight the public.
