Today we finished our FundISU campaign! We are grateful for the financial support of our donors and for their interest in our mission and passion for rocketry. The support we received is a testament to the progress CyRoc has made and of the incredible community that supports us!

More pieces are coming together every day for Cyclone Rocketry! Holes have been cut in the tubes for airbrakes, while more boards are being soldered. The pads for the airbrakes were made, and we completed a motor test! More to come on that soon! #CyRocRecap #CyRoc2020

Before our spring break started, the Propulsion team tested a 54mm motor grain on our indoor test stand! The test went great and produced solid results, helping us progress our teams research into motor development! #CyRoc2020

The club had its first large milestone to the cup with the Internal Design Review, where all sub-teams presented their plans and designs.  Several members attended an outreach event for cub scouts and launched their High Powered Rockets in Indianola.

Second-semester work is underway as the team prepares to hit the ground running. This semester, with most of the designs complete, focuses on manufacturing and testing. We can’t wait to see the team at the first general meeting on Tuesday, January 26th at 6:00 pm.

We are proud to announce that Cyclone Rocketry has acquired a contract with Honeywell to design and manufacture two rockets launching their payloads. The subteams are hard at manufacturing the rocket’s critical components and everyone is bringing a great attitude to the job.

Cyclone Rocketry just hit a new milestone this weekend! We successfully test-fired a full-scale SRAD motor. This is the largest student-developed motor test not only at CyRoc but in ISU history! Congratulations to the team! A full recap video will be released soon on YouTube
