Daily irritation no. 1: why no cycle path through the end of my cul-de-sac?

Just met the lovely Helen who lives round the corner from me - this is the the bike she takes her kids to school on, with tailgater. She told me, ‘I’ve cycled all over the world and St Albans is the most dangerous place I’ve ever cycled!’

Today’s cycling outfit. Walked son 20 mins to school and cycled back

As a non-Lycra cyclist I would love to hear the answers to this!

My 5yo daughter asked to cycle on the road today (as she always does), because it’s so wide and not full of lamp-posts etc. I chose a quiet stretch on a Sat morning and we rode 2 X 2. But within 30 seconds a driver hooted us to get out of their way. It made her jump. I … 1/3
