Today’s 2nd grade cultural feast was a great event for students and families. Students shared their culture through a tshirt design and families came in to share about their culture for each class. This is a great end to their How We Organize unit!

It was a brilliant, windy day for the outdoor Math Fair for Kinder! Our k kids explored #messymaths learning experiences from Juliet Robertson book. So much math talk as we enjoy a beautiful day. IB PYP Belvedere Elementary - FCPS

It’s a busy day Belvedere Elementary - FCPS ! Today is the start of our 3rd grade Seed Sale! It will be held again tomorrow. I got there early to get my student collected seeds, a student created pin, and some expert advice from knowledgeable 3rd graders. IB PYP

My heart is full! Listening to our 5th graders talk with International Baccalaureate Leadership about Exhibition and what it is like to be a student Belvedere. It was a deserved honor for our school to have the Director General and Board members see our passion for the IB in person. IB PYP

It was a wonderful visit for all! We feel honored to have had the Board of Governors and the Director General visit Belvedere. Our staff and students shared the many ways in which they learn, reflect and grow!

It was a great school viewing day for our 5th graders and their presentations for #PYPX2023 ! Our K-4 students came to learn, see, and be inspired by our 5th graders.

We were lucky enough to to have Rodney Lusk visit during our school viewing day today. He got a chance to see what young people care about. He encouraged our 5th grs to continue to learn and take action. Thank you for coming to our @PYPX2023 Can’t wait to see you next year!

What a journey! Our 5th graders shared their #PYPX2023 projects with the community today. Families, Fairfax Schools 🌟 central office staff, mentors, Mason District School Board (FCPS) and other FCPS school staff got a window into their research and action. So many compelling topics were shared. IB PYP

What a heartwarming afternoon at Belvedere! The halls were buzzing with excitement as we welcomed back our former students and 2023 graduates. One of them managed to sink a final basket on our playground. Talk about a perfect ending! Once a bulldog, always a bulldog!

Week 39: Today might’ve been one of my favorites all year…PYPX with my group committed to encouraging others to take action against bullying and two former 5th graders celebrating their graduation. Once my kid, always a kid ❤️
