The vast majority of #MAXPhases are carbides. We challenge this in our latest work published in Chemistry of Materials. We synthesize V2GeC, the nitride analog, and a new carbonitride phase and show how their functional properties are tunable based on the C/N ratio. pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…
