It is disqualifying and dangerous to pander to the lunatic fringe of American politics like this. Doubly so when the job you're telling people you're qualified for involves overseeing elections.

Feels like responding to this with "why should I pay for X thing for Y person" cedes a lot of ground. Why we invest in things like education, and infrastructure, and other public goods (even if we're not directly benefitting from them) is because it's good for society as a whole

this is bullshit and it's kind of funny that it didn't garner any pushback. Rodney continually refused to hold any type of event in C-U for years. We all remember. we lived through it. he did his part to create polarization by freezing out a huge part of his electorate. come on.
