Today our campus is closed to honor the life and legacy of the esteemed Martin Luther King Jr. We look forward to celebrating his legacy with other local colleges this week for the MLK Celebration hosted by the Black History Intercollegiate Consortium.

I enjoyed meeting with Keith Faulkner, the President of Charleston Southern University.  Charleston Southern is a great school with a tremendous future. Their professional pilot program is helping to address the shortage of commercial pilots in the United States.

It was an honor to host the 76th annual meeting of the International Association of Baptist Colleges and Universities last week. Gathering with fellow presidents to worship, collaborate, and grow in our mission to serve students was both inspiring and encouraging.

It was a joy for Patty and I to host The CSU Women’s Council. Since 1966, they’ve poured into CSU through scholarships, service, and prayer, and their work has blessed generations of students. So much of what we enjoy today is because of their vision and dedication!
