Inspired by #NC25 yesterday, I've had such a rich morning with our own Class of 2040! Precious time being alongside, learning with and praying for our youngest children. An important time to consider how what we do now will form firm foundations for these children to flourish.

Inclusion is at the heart of what we do at St Ed's. With over 40 chn with EHCP's, we have a broad and varied SEN provision: in class support, our SEN Intervention Room and SEND Unit. It was great to host a number of trainee teachers last week to show them what we do in action!

A packed school hall this afternoon for a session with our School EP on Emotion Coaching and how we help regulate in school. Such a privilege to be able to partner with our parents to ensure their children flourish both at home and in school.

Last night was a late one as we took a number of Year 6 children to Dagenham & Redbridge to watch them play in their next league match! Our children were the flag guard of honour as they came onto the pitch! Dagenham & Redbridge

Enjoying a day to myself in London to kick off the holidays... loving Oliver but cannot help but thinking I enjoyed our Year 6's production more last year 😂 Not sure our Year 6 teachers found it as fun though. Maybe I'm just sentimental.

Such an incredible and inspirational day at a Leaders Like Us day with the diocese, hearing from the inspirational Dean of Trinidad and Tobago Very Rev Shelley-Ann Tenia, with some of our Steds team. An opportunity for us all to consider our place, identity and calling.

An absoloute joy to stop in at SbN Primary School (on the way to the Havering HT conference at the local Golf Club!). A small school, with 40 chn, but with such a big heart! Great to see the amazing things Kelly and her team are doing to ensure their children and school flourish.

A fantastic start to the #HaveringHTConf2025 with Dr Jill Berry giving a really thought provoking insight into leadership. Great to reflect on what we do and why... and some new books already ordered!

Great to hear Robert Coe speak at #HaveringHTConf2025 on the importance of evidenced based decision making and the importance of high quality professional development in our schools. Got some great discussion starters to take back to school too.

We said an official goodbye to one of our colleagues today... the fifth member of our staff who have gone onto an acting or substantive headship in the last three years! It's great to be growing school leaders who can take a bit of what we do into other schools!

Looking forward to our VEDay celebrations in school! Street Party, flag waving and song singing await!

I walked into our Year 6 SATS breakfast this morning to find a group of boys sitting praying together... this warms my heart so much more than the 'standardised score' they end up getting! #lifeinallitsfullness

We had a fantastic afternoon at Chelmsford Chelmsford Cathedral for our annual Year 6 leavers service with the diocese. A great time to celebrate and reflect. Two more classes to go tomorrow!

It was a real privilege to host leaders from schools across London today as part of our IQM 'Drive to Thrive' cluster away day. Excellent networking, chances to share our provision and reflect on sticky problems that our inclusion leaders are addressing head on!

Last night was one of my favourite evenings of the year, welcoming our new intake of families- my sixth cohort. It is such a privilege and great responsibility these parents place in us, and an honour to co-invest, alongside them, in their children over the next seven years!

Fantastic wellbeing day yesterday, with other church school leaders and Chelmsford Diocesan Board of Education team. Great to think about creating less anxious workplaces and how we model that ourselves.
