When you know, you know. Recently did an ERCP and the ampulla, while looking normal on the surface, looked "off" during sphincterotomy. The tissue just did not respond in a normal manner to cutting. Biopsies showed ampullary adenocarcinoma. #gitwitter #surgery #pathology
