The vehicle has safely been recovered from the water. Very minimal damage to the lock & environment. Oils & fluids from the vehicle have been contained within the lock & a team are dealing with it accordingly. Canal & River Trust West Midlands Express & Star ITV News Central Sandwell Council

โ๏ธ๐ #SEIZED | Yesterday our team have once again worked alongside partners & other departments West Midlands Police coming together to target areas across Walsall plagued by off road vehicles being ridden illegally. A number of bikes seized with two found to be stolen. Great teamwork! ๐๐ผ
Thanks to the help of Walsall Police and our partners we've been tackling anti social behaviour along our canals in #Walsall. We've been working to stop people from riding motorbikes and E scooters along our towpaths and causing a nuisance to people who visit.
The recovery operation starts this morning on the W&E Canal (Anglesey Branch) between Anchor Bridge & Anglesey Bridge for the removal of the dumper truck that was stolen from a near by site. Luckily there has been minimal impact to the #wildlife Canal & River Trust West Midlands Walsall Police

Dump truck successfully recovered from the W&E Canal (Anglesey Branch) after it was stolen from a nearby site. Recovery was tricky due to the location but the Trust & Currall Lewis & Martin (Construction) Ltd worked together to get this removed. Great team effort from all involved. Itโs World Drowning Prevention Day with people being urged to learn more about water safety. The West Midlands has one of the highest rates of accidental drowning, with ten deaths in 2022. The Canal & River Trust have been speaking to the public at Walsall Canal.
