Shades of GWR very grateful to Mike and Ben for their recent visit bringing some up to date liveries to #sandyhilllive. St Piran looked well at home amongst the palm trees, and the 57s mingled with other green class 47s. Kernow Model Rail Centre #TMRGUK

The invasion has begun! Former ATW Class 175s have started training trips into the Duchy as GWR crews get to grips with their Castle set replacements. They certainly pop in the Autumnal Cornish sunshine. The Railway Magazine Modern Railways RAIL EXPRESS

A wonderful evening at The Atlantic Hotel Newquay for the prestigious Cornwall Drama Awards. St Austell AOS won Best Musical for Legally Blonde. There were individual awards too. Great to celebrate with fellow Societies too. Well done to all nominated and winners. BBC Cornwall

In the early 70s, Triang and Hornby ruled supreme. My dad made up QKits class 25 and 50 locomotives for us. These 25s were chunky and superb! I remember then vividly in a glass case at Ally Pally around 1975. Lairas 25223 still with us! ##TMRGUK #Sandyhilllive

The evolution of the common rat! From the 1976 Qkits Class 25 offering on the left, through the Hornby years, Bachmann then SW models. All have brought pleasure to the layout. Kernow Model Rail Centre #TMRGUK #sandyhilllive

It's engineer's Friday so there's bound to be ballast needed. A brace of Class 33s arrive with supplies for Saturday night's possession. 37305 ready for weathering having been reunited with its chassis. What are you up to modelling wise? #TMRGUK #sandyhilllive
