Now my Damocles A2 Standoff is built (with stabilizers deployed). I went with the arms rather than the field guns - having some climbing ability (and big honking axe) was too tempting. Also, the giant shotgun is nice too. #heavygear

Built a couple stock Badgers, I figure it's best to keep them cheap. 65mm bases for the striders are a good fit, and the Badgers fit on 60x35mm ovals nicely. #heavygear

And that's my weekend's worth of assembly. Heavy Gear infantry is pretty easy to clean up with a metal file, though having a round diamond file really helps. I robbed infantry from a platoon kit to make the specialist teams actually 'teams'. #heavygear

Seven to a 40mm base seems to be the practical limit for painting purposes (brush clearance, spray allowance). Conveniently, I used 12/40 on the team bases, leaving 4x7=28 left for squads. #heavygear

I may have - possibly - gone a smidgen overboard in building infantry. Perhaps. In my defense, there's no Medic teams. I don't really think they're terribly useful in Blitz. Maybe if I had a Medical Badger or Medical Beetle. Or a cool way to model them. Any ideas? #heavygear

Some dedicated Command gears, the Spearhead and Thunder Sniper Jaguar SECCOM. Interestingly, the HAC for the Spearhead comes with the hand attached, which is very rare for HGB parts. #heavygear

I love the Hunter Zerstorer MkII. It has all the guns and Field Armor, all for 8TV. It's basically the swiss army knife of gears. #heavygear

Final mini for the day, a Fire Jaguar. I'm a bit disappointed that the Strike Squad box doesn't include Arrow Jaguar parts, but I have plenty of MRPs around to make Fire Jaguars. Not sure if I'm going to build stock Jags, as I can use Tigers in that role. #heavygear

Stock Grizzly! Normally I don't pose so dramatically (makes storage/transport easy), but sometimes you have to have fun. People often struggle with how to mount the mortar, so here's some pictures for one way to do it (bookmark for future use). #heavygear

I decided I needed another stock Hunter and an Assault Hunter. I also have Assault Hunters from both the RAFM days and Heavy Gear Tactical. The circle is complete.

Assault Jager, Grizzly Defender, White Cat. The Grizzly was previously painted and stripped of paint so I could add a MAAM launcher to the back (made from two medium Panzerfausts and a mortar). #heavygear

Stock Jaguar, Wild Ferret and Hunter Commando (Christmas 'Bowser' edition). Bowser's neural net is much more intelligent and personable than most gears, and he shows up a few places in the lore. Also, I'm pretty much finished building models, on to painting #heavygear
