Our officers from CPD Citywide Community Safety Team accompanied Southwest Senior Center Chicago Department of Family & Support Services in 8TH District-Chicago Lawn for a celebration for Mexican Independence Day. Dancers of all ages came to dance for the elderly community teaching them the history of Mexico.

Yesterday, our 7661 Team conducted a mission in the 4300 block of W. Monroe St. in 11th District - Harrison . Their efforts resulted in one felony arrest, the recovery of 3 firearms, including 1 with a defaced serial number & suspect narcotics. Job well done officers!

Chicago Police Officers joined family and friends at the Leighton Criminal Court building to support the family CPD Officer Carlos Yanez Jr and fallen Chicago Police Officer Ella French. Officer French was killed in the line of duty End of Watch: August 7th, 2021. #NeverForget
