BREAKING: UNC students and community members have begun a tent encampment on Polk Place this morning, joining the pro-Palestine encampments happening at universities across the country. This is Emmy Martin with live updates.


This is liv reilly reporting from Polk Place. There is heavy police presence and individuals in yellow vests not associated with the demonstration that have began picking up the solidarity encampment. Police are saying the area is “closed to everyone.”
