When corporates took over AAA gaming, one of the first things they did was start to cut back on the profit-sharing programs that top studios used to reward developers. They kept the money for themselves. Gearbox cut back, Blizzard cut back, Bethesda (id) cut back or eliminate

Layoffs used to follow failure. But we’re now in the fourth consecutive year of mass layoffs in the gaming industry with no end in sight while profitability nears records.

One of the coolest things about the retired 🇯🇵 Japanese Hedge Fund Legend Tatsuro Kiyohara who 93x-ed his fund is that hes become an open book and even openly shared specifics on how he screens for ideas on the Japan company Handbook (The Japanese Value Line)👇 P/E Ratio: He is

Stunning. The 7 largest U.S. stocks reached a combined $20 trillion in market value, an unprecedented 37% of the S&P 500. That’s 55% larger than the index at its 2000 and 2007 peaks. It matches where the index first traded in April 2017 and larger than the March 2020 Covid low.

If Ancient Greece and Rome had persisted, we could be an early Type II civilization by now. Greece had an analog computer (Antikythera mechanism) in 200 BC, which was not seen again until 1,500 years later. Roman concrete was the best building material until the 18th century.

Not sure why people are surprised that $MSTR would pull something like this, when back in the day they were the poster child for this stuff (Chapter 3 of Financial Shenanigans 4th ed. by Howard Schilit)
