Lieutenant Gabriel Sapp is another CPD member that serves our country in the National Guard, currently deployed in Jordan. On Memorial Day, Lt Sapp and the rest of CPD would like to take a moment to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Recent events in Minneapolis have understandably generated outrage at the actions of those police officers. We join our community in condemning those actions. We remain dedicated to our core values of service, ethics, professionalism, and diversity.

Yesterday, your Corvallis Professional Firefighters participated in parades honoring all of the seniors graduating from high schools throughout Corvallis. We would like to commend all of the seniors on their accomplishment. We were happy to be a part of your special day.

Last week your Corvallis Professional Firefighters spent hours training diligently on various rope rescue skills. Probationary Firefighter Donovan and Myrold are shown rappelling out of a window which may be necessary in order to access victims during rescue operations.
