Delighted to share our paper (with Plant Evolutionary Ecology lab) in Journal of Ecology led by @heredia_ac1985! Cristina did a massive experiment testing how root litter decomposition is affected by litter origin AND plant community composition. (1/4) besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…

New paper out from my colleague Marco @soilecologist on belowground pitfall traps! Very cool and easy method to evaluate soil mesofauna, and a great alternative to traditional Tullgren/Berlese method! Check it out! πŸ›πŸœπŸ•·πŸͺ²πŸ”¬πŸ₯³ doi.org/10.1016/j.pedo…

Important paper led by @arthurbroadbent Soil Ecology Lab UoM showing that snow removal and shrub encroachment, both consequences of rapid climate change in mountain ecosystems, cause a mismatch between plant and microbial N cycling processes. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…
