can we stop i cant imagine going to a movie as joyful and full of life as rocky horror, with a live experience that is unlike anything else in the world, and spending half of the time seething about how problematic it is and wondering how much joy i'm allowed to experience

every october the question of "should we cancel rocky horror?" comes up, and every year the answer is a resounding "shut the fuck up"

Reminder: Rocky Horror was popularized by midnight screenings that were a refuge for our queer elders who fought for our rights to exist openly and authentically—and to say dumb shit like this…

If you're someone moaning that Rocky Horror doesn't pass this purity test you expect every piece of media to comply with, you really need to learn how to enjoy yourself. Some people are really determined to be perpetually miserable.

Disabled people are waiting months to receive vital support to access work. We're calling on the government to review the Access to Work scheme, to ensure it is available when needed. Act now by joining our campaign: campaignfordisabilityjustice.org.uk Campaign for Disability Justice

I've found out that my grant got cut because I posted a video of me standing up out of my wheelchair on social media. They used my public facing social media, which I use to awareness to the fact that people have varying conditions, to push me out of work. I am actually in pieces

Kate Stanforth (@katestanforth) 's Twitter Profile Photo

*I should add it’s part of the reason it got cut we think, just for clarity. I was in absolute meltdown. We don’t have an official reason yet but had comments made about this. Awful times.

A month ago, I wrote for @metroopinion about my #AccessToWork claim from FEBRUARY still not having been processed. I was promised it would take 12 weeks, then 24 weeks. It's now October and... I still haven't heard a thing #AccessDenied metro.co.uk/2024/09/03/wan…

Does anyone know if I could go to Specsavers and get an eye test, even though I'm blind? It sounds ridiculous but I need medical proof of blindness for something and unbelievably I don't have it. I don't want to waste their time though.

I haven't had a look through this yet but I'm really pleased to see that this has been produced. It's unfortunately very necessary. One of the hardest things as a disabled student is having to constantly argue with staff, especially when you're not used to doing it.

Another important element missing from the “why didn’t they leave” conversation: companies forcing their employees to continue working even as state officials are urging everyone to evacuate.
