Music isn’t extra-curricular. It isn’t even co-curricular. Each and every aspect of Music Education is central to a healthy, holistic, and successful education. Music is such a fundamental aspect of life and learning and to sideline it in any way is completely unacceptable.

FHS Marching Band puts the finishing touches on a great night of music from all our Band students!

Music isn’t a 2nd class subject, music teachers aren’t 2nd class teachers, and music isn’t just a nice little extra. Music is core, music is fundamental to a holistic and meaningful education, and music teachers make such a positive and lifelong impact on the lives of so many.

Congratulations to Mr. Conaton and the FHS Jazz Ensemble for their fine performance at last night's Michigan School Band & Orchestra Association competition. The ensemble received the highest honor of all 1's!
