Our Chair Meg Hillier has written to Meta to ask for information on the company's approach to financial influencers. This follows evidence from officials at Financial Conduct Authority that Meta is slower to remove harmful content than other social media platforms.


HMRC's failure to report details of a breach affecting around 100,000 taxpayers is unacceptable. We have written to HM Revenue & Customs CEO John-Paul Marks to ask why Parliament was not notified earlier about this breach, which has led to a loss of nearly £50 million for the taxpayer.
