No, Mr. Goncharenko. Trump is not "trying to show kindness to Putin," he is trying to push through a corporate merger of 🇷🇺 and 🇺🇸 - with 🇺🇦, in the role of a pesky shareholder at an AGM, making a fuss and blocking him. The fool believes he's going to be chairman of the board.

Kyiv Insider Jay in Kyiv This video is the public execution of the post-WWII security architecture. The DNI is officially field-testing the idea that U.S. treaty obligations under NATO's Article 5 are negotiable if the alternative is conflict. It is a direct signal to our allies that our promises are

Need to know Russian to make sense of America... "Sending in the national guard," says Marci Shore, wife of Prof. Timothy Snyder, "is a provocation [...] to foment violence and justify martial law. The Russian word of the day here could be provokatsiia.” theguardian.com/us-news/2025/j…

A bonus on 🇷🇺 contriving to antagonize both 🇦🇿 and 🇦🇲 is that the fallout may persuade my otherwise perspicacious friends that there indeed exists a centripetal force away from 🇷🇺 and not all post-Soviet regional conflicts are smoke and mirrors. Aliyev doesn't want to be Kadyrov.

One retired American serviceman who regularly volunteers in Ukraine told me that Ukraine is the country America thinks it is. He repeated this again this week, saying that our pro-democratic protests — during a war — are yet another proof of that. And I couldn’t agree more.

Owen Matthews: Ukrainians have lost faith in Zelensky spectator.co.uk/article/ukrain… I felt for many years, reading owen matthews, that he was a slime, but could never put my finger on it. (That's how slippery slime is.) With this and a sister calumny in The Telegraph, now I finally have.

The majority of engagement online really comes down to this. Not all Pro-Russian accounts are paid agents of the enemy. Most are useful idiots who are algorithmically amplified through such bot farms.

Reassuring to see that the New York Times has not changed since the days of Walter "Red Army No Menace to Peace" Duranty. The headline is from his article of June 25, 1931. He wasn't an expert only on Ukraine, you see. Next day it was "Stalinism Solving Minorities Problem"!

Rational Thought of the Day, from Radu Hossu 🇹🇩🇺🇦: "Ukraine will not give up any territory and will reject the joint offer from Putin and Trump, at which point the aggressor (Putin) and his accomplice (Trump) will start blaming the victim (Ukraine). We should expect this."

A well-known Latin phrase it would behoove Zelensky to impart to ignoramus Trump: "Ubi solitudinem faciunt, pacem appellant. " (Tacitus, quoting a Briton: "To ravage, to slaughter, to usurp under false titles, they call EMPIRE, and where they make a desert, they call it PEACE.)

“A continuation of ongoing digital repression” – Telegram’s Bedny Rurik, t.me/akalitin/2153 – “will be an end to the moratorium on the death penalty and the introduction of exit visas.” One I predicted on X in February 2024. The other finally closes the 🇷🇺-🇰🇵lifestyle gap.

Can somebody explain why the Strzhalkovskys, father and son, card-carrying FSB agents roaming through Europe, have not been sanctioned by the EU and UK (I no longer expect anything of the kind from the US)? theins.ru/en/inv/280249
