Without adequate, high-quality sleep, our bodies and minds cannot function properly. In the short term, even one or two nights of poor sleep can affect your memory, judgment, and reaction time.
We can’t possibly do everything we commit to, and we certainly wouldn’t be able to enjoy it if we tried to do it all. Accept that you can’t do everything, understand that you want to do the things that are important to you, and try to let go of the less important commitments.
“I believe in love at first sight…
But it’s not the first moment you lay eyes on a person, it’s the moment you first see the person they truly are.”
― Ranata Suzuki
We can choose to be happy every day of our lives, rather than fantasizing about being happy someday. Stop saying, "One day, when I achieve X or do Y, I'll be happy." Instead, start choosing happiness now—in every moment—regardless of what's happening in your life.
“The hardest thing is love, with no expiration date, no qualifiers, no safety net. Love that demands acceptance of all the things I cannot change. Love that doesn’t follow a plan.”
― Julia Whelan, My Oxford Year
