Another preventable GA fatality...this one appears to be fuel starvation in IMC: reddit.com/r/flying/comme… It's crushing to see that this is still a thing.

Have enjoyed seeing other people's recaps, figured I'd share. Dismal number of hours this year, hoping to get more time in the spring and fall this year. #ffRecap plan.foreflight.com/recap/50029033… via foreflight

Graphical version of ForeFlight recap, sorry 'bout that. That's what I get for trusting the built-in share link. #deflection Note: "Top airports" also includes BATD/AATD flights, not just IRL flights. ##ffRecap

*scratching off "No earthquakes," from the "benefits of living in NJ" list* "Earthquakes that occur far from tectonic plate boundaries are called intraplate earthquakes...less common...occur along plate boundaries, but they are caused by the same forces." Thank you google.

"cross Stillwater at and maintain 6,000." Thank you, Garmin 420W, for the help. Not the newest GPS navigator by any means, but still has tons of features if you know where to find 'em.

iPad overheated on the first leg for a few minutes. I needed to double check the vertical extent of the Delta airspace I was about to overfly. Bring up the cursor, select the airspace, ENTER, Review Airspace.

Thank you SHELTAIR at Orlando Exec for the excellent inbound and outbound handling. Friendly staff all across the board and reasonable pricing given the area. Kim, Rob, Will #1 and Will #2 (just in case one of them gives out) and the other guy in the tug were all fantastic.

Just found out a good friend got a contact approach and a THROUGH clearance for a quick bathroom stop at a sleepy field. I told him he only needed to throw in a cruise clearance to when the 1984 edition of IFR Bingo. Never been prouder of another pilot. Good job JVW!

Flew the Warbird Arrival for the first time. Setup ForeFlight and the Garmin 420W with bearing/distance waypoints to arrive over the city of Fond Du Lac on course, then to the step down (once clear of FLD's airspace), then Warbird Island. Great for SA.
