Fun to be involved with Third Sector's End of Charity podcast series prior to starting my new role at Christian Aid. We spoke about where charities are across the UK and where they are missing. Thanks to Lucinda Rouse for putting this together!

Great to attend the Christian Aid report launch ‘Between Life and Debt’ , as part of Christian Aid Week. The debt crisis in 5 African countries under English Law are preventing the countries investing in health, education & climate resilience. We need urgent action #debtjustice

With interest rates spiraling, most African countries spend more on debt servicing every year than they do on education and health. Many of the creditors are governed under UK law - we need legislation urgently to tackle this debt crisis. independent.co.uk/news/uk/politi…

Glad to attend the launch of Christian Aid Report ‘Between Life and Debt’. A massive thank you to churches in Putney who have raised £70,000 in the last year, supporting this important work. #CAWeek24

- climate change is largely absent from this general election so far - and yet the UK had its warmest May and meteorological spring on record according to provisional Met Office figures published today

71% public support for a wealth tax. Even assuming that narrows in implementation, imagine what the next government could do on the climate crisis, poverty and the NHS with the courage to implement that

Bookmarking all these tweets - kind of amazing to see this level of hubris. Did these MPs manage to miss, I don't know, all global politics from the past decade?

Today I presented my Debt Relief (Developing Countries) Bill which would: ✅Compel private creditors to accept the same terms as other lenders. ✅Reduce the burden of debt for the poorest countries. ✅Cost the Treasury absolutely nothing. The time to act is now. #DebtJustice
