I've been walking around with Freedom of Movement vouchers for 7 months. They never have stock to try on. Got to try on tobacco chinos today. They'll only take the vouchers for online purchase. Delivery takes 5 days. No stock online. I'll die with these vouchers on me.

Had pleasure of Nedbank deactivating my accounts w/o notice because of FICA info they wanted. Day before an overseas travel. I have to cancel meetings to sit in a branch to wait for them to reactivate it “because it normally takes 48-72 hours”. Nuts.

I've done an urgent foreign loan application at FNB South Africa a couple of times over the last months. The transaction fees are R3k+. For that they never stick to the 48hrs turnaround. Day 3 you spend hours in call centres begging for the reference numbers to authorise receipts.

Last time Nedbank said get an overdraft with a click on the app - it took two weeks hard work from my banker to make it happen, by which time I just funded from my savings anyway. They never explain the how to's and poor staff in call centres also never the wiser. 2/2

Have to say, Helen Zille willing to run for Mayor in JHB pretty selfless. She could be kicking back at this stage in her life! Also first time any politician is articulating the infrastructure issues in JHB sensibly. JHB is in crisis. There is no better choice.
