some days i just wanna ship an app and hope it blows up other days it feels like you can’t win unless you’re running a personal media company do i focus on making things, or on growing a following? nobody tells you which matters more

Thinking about running a TikTok page that just gives out free app ideas. No pressure to build unless one actually pops off. Feels like a fun way to crowdsource what people actually want-plus I could throw in some GPT mockups so it looks real. Why not?

Building for yourself feels productive… until launch day hits and no one shows up. Ask the market. Your gut is not enough. Speaking from experience (and $63 in sad app sales).

why are you stressed? all you have to do is: 1. validate app ideas 2. build one with AI 3. market for months on reddit, tiktok 4. create content to build an audience 5. launch on ProductHunt etc. 6. realize no one wants your app 7. pivot to new ideas 8. repeat steps 1-7

if you desperately want to quit your 9-5 please do this first: > pay off all non-mortgage debt to minimize monthly expenses > save a cash reserve to cover cost of living (I saved 2yrs of expenses) > have a fallback plan: "if X doesn't happen by Y date, get another job"
