HCPA loses to Community of Peace 89-97. Did a great job of fighting back from being down by 30 in the second half. Went with our smallest lineup of the year and made our comeback playing helter skelter basketball.

HCPA ends the season with a win over Lincoln, 55-50! Only three official wins, but that’s still one more win than we had all last season. Kavi Vue, our lone senior, ended up with 15 points after playing the entire game. Kaleb Vang was our leading scorer tonight with 18.

Shot clock violations should be called like advantage fouls in soccer. If the defense is going to get a run out, don’t call it.

Hmong Academy loses in a tough game to Higher Ground 79-71. Plenty of chances for our guys to give up and throw in the towel but they kept fighting until the final horn. Xavier Yang leads the Hmong Academy in scoring.

Warriors lose to Hiawatha 34-93. Can’t teach height and got out matched physically. Fought hard the entire game no matter what the score was. Third game in a row where we scored under 15 points in the second half. At this point that falls on me.

Lost to Cristo Rey 66-81. Ten point lead at halftime squandered with bad shots, bad defense, and no rebounding. On a positive note Touwin Yang set a new HCPA career high scoring 39.

HCPA gets their first win of the season tonight against Prairie Seeds Academy 65-28! Warriors turned the defense up halfway through the first half and never looked back. Xavier Yang scores 18 to lead the Warriors. Jamarcus Nelson was an absolute man on the boards tonight.

HCPA beats Avail 71-70. A competitive game through the final buzzer. After a winter break with no more than two kids at practice I am so impressed with the intensity the boys brought to the game today. Everyone brought energy no matter how much they played. Touwin 34 Kaleb 15
