Having been to nearly every small town in GA, I assumed I had seen close to everything in a gas station. Then I stopped at one in rural SC where live chickens were being sold in a coop by the coffee pot. Wasnt quite what I had in mind for a quick snack on the road!

First hurricane as a Savannah resident and I was incredibly impressed with leadership of Brian Kemp @GeorgiaEMA Mayor Eddie DeLoach and all involved. Precautionary evac, clear comms, and fast re-entry once deemed safe. Thank you!! #HurricaneDorian

Read through today’s batch. Big takeaway: 13 page resumes are always a bad idea. Bigger takeaway: Some of these folks may not be ready just yet for US Senate but there are city councils&school boards throughout GA that could use their skills!

Pregnancy brain moment of the day: spent 2 or 3 minutes trying to find The Raspberries on Spotify only to realize I was actually looking for The Cranberries. 🤦‍♀️

Inspiring morning with FCS, Purpose Built Communities, and Purpose Built Schools in Historic South Atlanta. Georgia and ATL are leading the way in what community development and revitalization can look like.

Second time this month I finished a bag of Halloween candy bought explicitly for neighborhood kids trick or treating... #whoops

The The Telegraph is 193 years old today. Our first edition, as a weekly, was published on this day in 1826, declaring to readers that it would "not only disseminate useful information but advocate fearlessly," adding, in all caps, "THE RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE!"

I can only imagine that normal people trying to make sense of political twitter feel like I do when trying to make sense of sports twitter. 🧐

Entering that strange phase of pregnancy where I can see (and almost grab) Warren’s feet through my stomach. It seems half miracle, half straight out of a scene from Aliens.

Hard to believe that we are nearing the final days of this pregnancy. No surprise given his parents, Warren is already in the 99th percentile for just about every measurement. We can’t wait to meet him!

Our cup runneth over. We’ve had a few days to snuggle with and adjust to life with Warren Anthony Bergman. Call us biased, but we think he is perfect. Born 01/14/2020 at 7 pounds 5 oz.

If you’re looking for things to do during quarantine, I highly recommend this remarkable PBS documentary on East Lake Meadows in Atlanta, GA. Then take a minute to read more about the important work Purpose Built Communities is doing across the country. pbs.org/kenburns/east-…

Here is a photo of an undetermined Georgia Tech home game during the 1918 college football season. That's when the sport was hit by the Spanish flu and the end of World War I. The photo was taken by a student, Thomas Carter. It was provided by Georgia Tech alumnus Andy McNeal.

More cool things from City of Savannah! "A tech incubator, the campus will serve as a hub for companies, organizations and higher educational institutions focused on clean technologies related to manufacturing, warehousing and logistics." #cleanenergy #tech bit.ly/3kbGpuC
