This first-in-the-nation law targets theft by removing the profitability of stolen copper metal. It closes loopholes that incentivize theft while ensuring scrap dealers can operate effectively. In the new year, Minnesotans will have another tool to tackle copper theft head-on.

Preserving and building more affordable housing could not be more urgent. With nearly $17 million for projects in Saint Paul, we're building capacity for our down payment assistance and home rehab programs and funding new construction on our East Side.
