Less than a month after telling former CM Bonin she would be refusing any law enforcement contributions CD 6 candidate Marisa Alcaraz accepted two contributions from the LA Port Police Association. The contributions also combine to exceed the legal limit of $900.

La Opinión is demanding a public retraction of a mailer supporting Marisa Alcaraz in CD 6 race paid for by Local 770 United Food and Commercial Workers PAC. The mailer says Alcaraz is endorsed by La Opinión. "That endorsement is a false claim," Armando Varela, executive editor.
