Drama on the table! 😳 Luca Brecel concedes at 2-0 down, trailing by 40 in frame 3. Just as Sunny Akani lines up an easy blue, Brecel gets up and shakes his hand.

This format for the English Open should be used for all the Home Nations series. All rounds played at the venue with no "qualifiers" and with fans allowed in to watch.

What a decider. That was great. Brecel in command, Vafaei got back to pretty much level then doubled the final green to have the match at his mercy. Missed the brown, left it on, Luca finished it off. Easy to say now, but felt more like the TV game than Williams v Sarkhosh.

Great first session of the final. Both will be happy enough. Hope for more of the same tonight.
