I can’t subversively implant transgenders seed, Or it’s natural growth in anyway impede, If it’s there it will manifest itself in time, & with parental help your child will have a life sublime, But if in denial you turn away, Your child will transition & you’ll come rue the day!

Used to feel cheated out of life because I kept it out of sight, Out of fear I was firmly closeted future anything but bright, Always looking back on my past, Didn’t notice the here & now was slipping by so fast, But it all changed when I stopped denial, Transition & reconcile!

I lived my life in shadows of me not daring to let her out, So full of sorrow & of self doubt, All I knew was what I’d learned I should be, But there wasn’t any part of me that came out naturally, Not until transition did life seem right, & being alive was a natural pure delight!

Todays there’s a birthday but it’s going to be a quiet day tinged with a little sad, Because it’s for someone I’m remembering silently in my memory and that is my loving dad! Happy heavenly birthday dad!

Search you conscience for what you know to be fair & right, Why should we a minority group be harried & driven from sight, Ostracised by lies & hate, We’re not a subject that’s up for debate, Our wish is simple to live without fear, Your life doesn’t diminish because we are here.

There comes a time in one’s life when peace reigns supreme, It’s a reality of one’s age it’s not a waking dream, Accomplishments & wealth are of lesser meaning when all said & done, Because the truth of life’s riches lays in the heart mind & soul becoming a unity of one!

Why do I have to fight for my basic human right, To live persecution free to live life as me, Didn’t chose a life of hardship & strife, It’s what I was born to so I’ve seen it through wouldn’t you, So back off let me be to live my life safe & free! Trans right’s human rights!

Do something amazing & be the genuine you, Transition is the way but you must see it through, Don’t deny yourself the happiness of just being, Living a falsehood instead of your true self seeing, Yes life’s hard & being trans is harder still, But you have the right & an iron will

Hope such a little word & easy to say, Hope it can fill you to face the day, Hope reigns supreme of better things to come, Hope rides high as dysphoria you fought & won, Hope is what you pin to see the real you, Hope is not enough without determination to see transition through!

Had my share of bad, Had my share of glad, Had my days of tears, Had my days of fears, Had times went all went wrong, Had places where I didn’t belong, Had my share of sad, Strangely some happy times I had, And yet even through dysphoric times I never lost my smile!

Dysphoria stalks the shadows of each day, It comes out of nowhere in a debilitating way, Crippled in confused identity we struggle to break free, We’re not intent on ruling the world just to simply be, It plays insidious upon every thought, Till through transition we have fought!

You may wake in a negative fame of mind, Frustratingly there’s no positive you can find, It sets the tone of the day, Yet doesn’t have to be that way, It can get better day on day I say, So don’t give in to that nagging doubt, Even if you have to scream & shout. You can win!

Don’t give up don’t give in To quit now would be a sin, The road is difficult and can be long All to often things do go wrong, The way we were goes by the by You bang against life it makes you cry, Strength comes from deep within Tough it out don’t ever give in.
