Update: Multiple crews responded to the two-acre brush fire off SR 23 near Sandridge Road. Crews got the majority of the fire under control within 45 minutes of getting on scene.

All eastbound and westbound lanes of Russell Road are closed due to a traffic crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. We are on the scene assisting CCSO. Please find an alternative route if you have to travel in this direction.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office received a threat this morning regarding its facilities in Green Cove Springs. Out of an abundance of caution, you will see an increased presence of public safety officials in the area. Please avoid the area.
