I invited a couple of colleagues for dinner tonight and did some cooking: arugula and butternut squash salad, bourbon and coffee ribs on mushroom risotto, walnut buckwheat toffee cakes... but I forgot to serve the berries! I guess we have berry salad for the rest of the week.

Tonight, we went to a book reading by Richard Powers and loved it! His new book, Playground, sounds very interesting and is now on my reading list.

We got sidetracked on our way home from work, so we decided to stop at our little neighborhood restaurant and have some comfort German food. German husband is super-happy, even though I made him schnitzel and potatoes last night. 😀

A side effect of being side-tracked on our way home on #Halloween    is that we missed all the neighborhood kids and are now stuck with a ton of candy... I will take some Butterfingers (my favorite) and bring the rest to my group. Monty 🚀🏍🌶 how much candy are you stuck with?
