Talking to Dotty McLeod about my Christmas jumper collection this morning while reading the BBC Cambridgeshire sports news. Just in case anyone’s not seen them, here’s the current collection, I’d love a Cambridgeshire one if anyone knows of one!

At Broadcasting House at 5:30 am on four hours of sleep, but for the chance to sit in and watch BBC Radio 3 Breakfast it was too good a chance to pass up! Just yoga, compline and a course I’m leading after a full day in the office when this is done…

It took me until I was 48 to work out what I wanted to do for a living. For one day at 49, I’m doing it: this morning I’m producing at @bbcradio3 and Breakfast with Petroc Trelawny. From 6:30 we’ll have Bach, Beethoven, Beach and Bacewicz, and some other letters too. Come join!

I PRODUCED RADIO 3 BREAKFAST TODAY! 🤩🥰 Still buzzing, sorry for shouting! Thank you to all those who gave me this opportunity. So lovely to be back at BBC Radio 3 even if it was just a flying visit this time. If you missed it, listen back here: bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…

Time for the 15 favourite albums of 2023 roundup! leahbroad.substack.com/p/favourite-bo… My top 15 were: Grazyna Bacewicz from Peter Jablonski Elisabeth Brauss Nicholas Collon and Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra. This is one of the best Bacewicz recordings I’ve heard, full of fire, energy and drama. Ondine Records

Delighted to be back celebrating my 25th anniversary of singing Advent and Christmas carols at St Nicholas' Church with a beautiful selection of music this year including Kerensa Briggs Elizabeth Daley and Benjamin Britten. So blessed to sing in this wonderful, welcoming place.

Thoroughly well deserved. Having the privilege to work with Anna Lapwood remains a career highlight and so glad to see that her music, education and sense of fun have touched so many this year. 👏 👏 👏

Another day at work and play. Work meeting in Salford until 14:30, then hotfooting it back to the Royal Albert Hall for tonight’s Nick Drake Prom BBC Proms and now on the train to Cambridge working on my running order for producing a day of BBC Radio 3 Breakfast again next month.

Busy but productive Friday: finalising the running order for producing BBC Radio 3 Breakfast with kate molleson on Monday, ice cream with Mrs Dr Walsh, then being joined Royal Albert Hall by father-in-law Terry for his favourite piece BBC Proms, Richard Strauss’ Alpine Symphony.

A floating piano played mid-air = total drama 🎹🖤 Tenor Benjamin Bernheim performs The Hymn to Apollo - the oldest hymn from Ancient Greece, accompanied by Alain Roche.

You can hear more music from Benjamin Bernheim on Radio 3 Breakfast tomorrow morning. Tune in just before 8am on @bbcsounds to hear kate molleson playing ‘Tout est fini’ featuring Benjamin.

Honoured as always to be asked in as an occasional producer, especially when you get to produce something as iconic as BBC Radio 3 breakfast, thanks to Petroc Trelawny and the team for having me back. Hopefully we’ve got the nation off to a good start today, have a good one all!

Finally heading off after producing BBC Radio 3 Breakfast this morning with the wonderful Petroc Trelawny and then doing my BBC Cambridgeshire job from London for the day. Catch up below if you missed it, I’m off to a beer festival! bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…
