In my pursuit of the Phantom Thieves, I’ve been going over their previous activity. Including the Madarame case.

I came across a couple dark rumours about that Kawanabe guy.

He offers sponsorships to aspiring young painters, and then he ties them to bad contracts. He demands immense payments, claiming to cover the cost of the exhibits, then he takes kickbacks from scholarships.

...Though I have no proof.

The guy you hang out with, Yusuke Kitagawa, was Madarame’s disciple.

Kawanabe and Madarame used to go to school together. It would be a damn shame if Kitagawa got taken advantage of by both of them.

It’s people’s desires that cause them to commit crimes... desires and desperation.

As a detective, I uncover them.

Haha... makes it seem like I’m a bit of a Phantom Thief.

How about this. You guys set up a meeting with Kawanabe. You’re there, so KItagawa’s safe, and I get my evidence.

Eventually the flow of money just vanishes.

Hayashi Holdings, Tsuji Gallery and Harada Managing. These three are the principals.

But where are they secreting away all this money? I must be missing something…

Without real, concrete proof, I can’t get a warrant for them.
