We have updated our website with our PhD candidates' information which are currently working in our group. Totallying 20 PhD candidates from 5 different nations. We are happy to say that 13 of them are woman, more that 50%. Check it out: ciefma.upc.edu/es/personal/in…

This week some of our PhD candidates are presenting their work related with the topic of hardmetals, at the 20th Plansee Seminar in Reutte, Austria.

Professor Luis Llanes presented today at the 20th Plansee Seminar the work of Dr. Yafeng Zheng, who did the thesis at CIEFMA about corrosion damage of cemented carbides.

After a very intensive day, with lots of interesting presentations, we are ready for the Conference dinner!

We conclude one more academic year with a cooking workshop. It has been a unique and enjoyable team building experience. It's August now and it's time to rest. We hope everyone has a wonderful summer! We'll be back in September with more energy and more projects to accomplish.
