Happy to share that I've been awarded tenure CU Anschutz Medical Campus ! Thanks to my whole lab through the years and my colleagues, esp. in our fantastic BMG department, for supporting my science and overall career. Here's to many more years! 🥂

Happy to share our new publication out nature tinyurl.com/bdz5umj4, where we investigated how MYC-MAX and CLOCK-BMAL1 engage chromatinized E-boxes. Thanks to all the collaborators! Schübeler Lab @partchlab Beat Fierz @johannes_zuber Jerome Menet Ralph Grand @PriyaCrosby

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37458420/ This paper by two amazing co-first author Emory grad students represents an incredible collaboration of Emory Genetics and Molecular Biology and Emory Biochemistry Cell & Developmental Biology grad programs from Dr. Binta Jalloh and twitterless Carly Lancaster- published eLife - the journal under the previous model (in case anyone asks)

Paper alert ‼️ 🚨 What is the role of RNA in the initiation of DNA replication? We have answers to this long standing question. Yes, RNA has a lot to say in how and where origins are activated. Check out our paper by amazing first author Aina Mª Mas Calafell nature.com/articles/s4146…

Proud of these two Hinkley High Aurora Public Schools grads that have worked in the lab for 1-2 summers. They’ve grown into full-fledged members of the lab and have contributed a lot to this @nsf sponsored project on molecular epigenetics.

📯 Our work on a new core splicing factor is out in Molecular Cell! FUBP1 is important for splicing of long introns. Multivalent interactions support spliceosome assembly and intron bridging. Great collab with @Sattler_lab & Luck_lab. Check it out here: bit.ly/4552p18

doi.org/10.7554/eLife.… eLife - the journal We are so excited about our new paper defining a new link between splicing and transcription!

Our collaborative work CRBM with the group of Patrick Schultz IGBMC on how the NuA4 complex modifies nucleosomes at a distance is now online: nature.com/articles/s4159… Congrats to my great tech and 2nd-author Céline Faux. Thx ANR - Agence nationale de la recherche and @INSB_CNRS for support

The final version of our Cas4/1 dual-nuclease activity study is now out Journal of Biological Chemistry! Congrats Yukti Dhingra!

The fabulous Pragya Sidhwani @pra_sidh wrote this nice article about ideas for how cells build boundaries between chromatin domains, particularly the centromere! authors.elsevier.com/a/1hgc4,LqArQC… Would love to hear other ideas for this question. #heterochromatin #centromere #boundaries
