Why is the £ of a pint rocketing? Energy, NMW, rent, food and beer costs plus interest rates, per pub, our costs have inc. by c£100k / yr / pub on avg in 23. Now another c£25k plus per pub for 2024 NMW. Support NMW but something has to give or there will be no pubs left.

The autumn statement delivered a c£800k inc to us (c30 pubs) for 2024 That’s before any beer, food or energy cost inc Prices will go up by c4% just to cover this. c20p per pint already. As a multiple operator we don’t benefit from rates relief. Who’s celebrating a duty freeze?
