Real sharp cloud head tip moving into Donegal. This is where the core of strongest winds from the storm are, and this will run along northern coasts of Ulster, and then into west, central Scotland in the next couple of hours with an intense core of violent winds!

With high pressure centred over the UK tonight, now is a good time to set your barometer (if you have one!). The barometric pressure corrected to mean sea level, currently around 1041mb (30.74 inches of mercury).

We are honoured to have Cheick Tioté's son, Rafael as one of our mascots for tonight's game. Once a Geordie, always a Geordie. 🖤🤍

It’s another historic day for European integration. 🇪🇪 Estonia, 🇱🇻 Latvia, & 🇱🇹 Lithuania have now unplugged from Russia’s power grid. 🧵 Here’s how our new connection as part of Europe will turbocharge energy security. (Also, check out Estonia’s nature-inspired pylons!)

Are we really serious about nature restoration? 🌿🌎 The Scottish government says it aims to “regenerate biodiversity across the country by 2045” but such ambition cannot be taken seriously if it rules out reintroducing missing native species like lynx. 🐾 Send the First

Pictures don't always tell the full story. 40Kms today inc. TWO punctures!! The first just after we left the flat, the second after leaving Strathblane! Nothing like abandoning the bike in Kirkintilloch and returning with the car to collect it...pfft! 🙄😭 We ride on... 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

Currently looking to recruit ornithologists to the team in Belfast, graduate and/or consultant level. Hybrid working, lots of fieldwork, option for part time contracts too! Please share with anyone who wants to get paid to look at birds (& I’m pretty cool to work with too).

Boarding a ScotRail service as an overseas tourist and excitedly departing from Queen Street/Waverley for the Highlands; only to be greeted by an AI announcer. Is that truly the best we can offer now - as a representation of our country? Do better ScotRail.
