Coach Moore was one of the greatest coaches at the high school level regardless of state affiliation. I had the pleasure of meeting with coach Moore a few times and was always a wealth of knowledge, pleasure to talk football with and knew what he wanted out o his program and

FHSAA Proposal: 136 teams in 5A and 4A.. 16 districts equals 8 to 9 teams per distinct.. half left out of playoffs. 8 weeks of teams finding their own games for four team tournament at end of season. Creates more problems than solutions. FloridaHSFootball.com #FLHSFB

More issues w/ FHSAA proposal.. Asking every team in the state to find 8 games on their own over a 9 week span.. creates more issues than solutions. District play eliminates the reliance on some rankings if you send two per dist. in a 12 district format + 2 WC. FloridaHSFootball.com

The FHSAA District Realignment proposal has some serious flaws. You cannot create a system of two classes that have 136 schools in one class and 74, 56 etc... in others and expect the same value of play. Eight weeks of nothing but open scheduling is asking a lot out of schools.

🚨 FHSAA proposes major football classification changes for 2026–28. The plan cuts to five classes plus Rural, adds a district tournament, and could reshape playoff rankings. Coaches and ADs are pushing back — echoing concerns raised in a statewide survey by Florida Coaches Coalition &

Christopher Lyke Why are we not doing a district round robin and do our absolute best to make sure districts are equitable in terms of the number of teams, and a traditional playoff? Tie breaker for district champs is the head to head matchup followed by points ALLOWED not scored. Problem solved.

Great so if we go to this…. NOBODY will really want to play us then. 8 weeks of open scheduling. TF. Who’s payin for all those charter bus rides?!?!?! Jokes on you if you think this is gonna work. This is wild!

I realize that I am a member of the media here.. media members are expected to remain neutral through all the glitz and glamour of the sports we cover. FloridaHSFootball.com will be the first to tell you, I am the most neutral person you will ever find. I play no favorites. That being

Florida system needs to be fixed. For a Senior to walk off the field Friday night and not know if they played their final snap of football until a computer algorithm comes out later this week….naw not the move. Districts of 8 or 10 teams take the top half. At least you know what

We have been covering high school football in this state for 16 years now (more than most have in this state). Come after us all you want about speaking up but there are tons of coaches that appreciate us speaking up especially those that can’t make it up to Gainesville. We also

I have said it in a previous tweet.. we are not just media members, we are advocates and caretakers of the sport we love. We want what is best for Florida HS Football and athletics in general. If we cannot speak up in every platform we have at our disposal, BOD meetings be

Staying silent is exactly how we got stuck with a classification setup that barely worked in the 90s and definitely doesn't work now People need to speak up on this stuff because sitting back and saying nothing is just compliance to a broken system

Thank you to everyone who has shown us support — it truly means the world. Speaking up and standing firm isn’t always easy, but it comes from a place of love for the game and for the people who make it special. We’re not traditional, and maybe that’s what sets us apart. We care
