The more than $49 million set to be owed by Penn State to James Franklin is the second-biggest buyout in the history of college football. Texas A&M's Jimbo Fisher buyout remains the most at more than $76 million.

I’m seeing some buzz for Matt Rhule to Penn State. He is 2-23 against Ranked Teams in his career. 0-11 against Top 10 Teams. Just no. Why would you fire James Franklin just to hire a worse version of James Franklin?

IF #PennState hired Matt Rhule, a guy who’s 2-20 against Top 25 teams..then they should DOUBLE their buyout to #JamesFranklin cuz that’d be the WORST decision they could make

Juju said he was just blocking Brian Branch and it lead to frustration. He added at the end that had never happened to him and joked "I thought I was a good dude!"

Having covered Mullen’s firing while in Gainesville UF fans definitely have sellers remorse. PSU fans could have the same since Franklin brought consistent success. However Franklin never got the BIG W when needed. He’s like Tony Dunge of Buccaneers.
